Yesterday Veritas GRC and Schellman held a webinar discussing cybersecurity risk management and regulatory compliance. Talking about the importance of building a coordinated approach supporting boards comply with cybersecurity risk management regulations, and our commitment to work together to build cybersecurity risk management education programs for boards.
It was a pleasure to patriciate in the event with Ryan Buckner of Schellman LLC and one wants to thank Adam Perella and Brian D. McCarthy for their support in coordinating the event. Cybersecurity risk management regulation is a fact for many companies in the U.S and the EU. Cyber regulation requires boards to demonstrate their oversight, assurance and attestation of cybersecurity risk. Requiring all three lines of defence to coordinate the response to regulatory compliance. As each line of defence, that incudes risk management (1st Line), risk oversight (2nd Line) and risk assurance (3rd Line), comprises of uniquely skilled professionals. Who are coordinated by the boards governance framework. Professionals that include those from cybersecurity, risk management, legal, audit, human capital and technical functions.
