LockBit has its website taken over by law enforcement agencies including the UKs National Crime Agency, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, Europol and a coalition of international police agencies.

By taking down the LockBit website does LockBit stop functioning as a hacking group. LockBit is an affiliation of hacking groups? While an important operation, one wonders how long it will take for LockBit to reappear under a different name.
