Thank you for posting Olaf Classen. The effects of supply chain hacks are felt by customers and suppliers. Okta has been troubled by cyber threats for several years, threats that affected Cloudflare following Oktas October 2023 breach. Detecting malicious activity in November 2023.
Malicious activity that forced Cloudflare to take proactive steps to change all its production credentials, evaluate and clean nearly 5,000 systems and re-image and reboot all its systems. An expensive, complex and resource intensive process. One that the company no doubt had to undertake due to the potential risks to its customers, their data, its systems, brand and reputation. An activity that may have been caused by a third party supplier security incident.
One wonders the financial impact to the company.
