The relationship between cybersecurity risk management, insurance and legal and regulatory compliance is becoming an increasingly important one. Cyber regulation is transferring cybersecurity risk management into board rooms. Requiring the oversight, assurance and attestation of cyber risk management. At risk of civil or criminal penalties.

As cyber, legal and compliance risk increases, it provides the insurance industry with the opportunity to support clients become more risk aware, develop risk mitigate programs and educate boards on cyber risk management. That can only benefit boards, their insurers and cybersecurity risk management.

I’m therefore looking forward to discussing cyber security risk management, legal and regulatory compliance and the effects on insurance, on the 29th February with Rick Rosenberry, Romaine Marshall and David Smolensky.
