We are seeing the visible use of destructive cyber as the Ukraine government confirms that Russian actors were inside Kyivstars networks for about 6 months prior to the network outage in December 2023, wiping Kyivstars infrastructure and destroying the core of the telecoms operator. {Reuters}

While ransomware is a predominant threat vector. Once inside a network its a simple shift from stealing and encrypting data to deleting it, damaging or destroying infrastructure.
