2024 will be an interesting year for cybersecurity, as cyber regulations published at the end of 2023 start to take effect, and new regulations come into force through the year. If the figures are correct then covered regulated firms will face many challenges in 2024.

Cyber attack frequency will continue unabated (and uncontrolled); corporate cyber maturity low; board cyber expertise can be measured in single figures and its doubtful if that expertise is cyber risk management (https://lnkd.in/ewDS-rhE); and there is an industry wide lack of cybersecurity risk management expertise and knowledge. Finding board support maybe a struggle in 2024.

Veritas Cyber Governance and Regulator Compliance (@veritasgrc) launches in the U.S and Europe in January 2024. With a proven track record of cybersecurity risk management board advisory, thought leadership and delivery. With over 70 years of cyber, risk management, education and legal expertise. We bring board cyber education, advisory and legal services to covered, regulated public and private sector companies on both sides of the Atlantic.
