Thank you Chris Burt for inviting me to discuss cyber regulation and cyber risk with the risk Coalition. Cyber regulation is moving quickly in the U.S and EU, requiring covered firms demonstrate their management of cyber risk, that includes cyber risk across their supply chains.

Risk management and the 2nd Line of Defense plays a significant role in the oversight of cyber risk, ahead of assurance and board attestation. Board attestation that is required by boards and subcommittees of covered firms to meet cyber regulation.
