What does professionalism mean? As a Chartered Security professional holding a place on the UK register of Chartered Security Professionals, and an Assessor for those seeking to join the register it means allot. (https://lnkd.in/e93_7hG)

It means that you have achieved a standard set by industry; it means that you have gone through independent evaluation of your knowledge skills; and experience; and it means that you commit to CPD to maintain your knowledge, skills and experience so that you can support your customers and peers, as a trusted, experienced advisor; it means that you can be trusted to achieve the best outcome when working with clients.

‘Being admitted to the Register and becoming a CSyP is a means of being recognised and continuing to represent the highest standards and ongoing proficiency.

It is the gold standard of competence in security practice. CSyPs have to comply with a Code of Conduct, a Professional Disciplinary Code, and also complete Continuous Professional Development each year.’ – National Protective Security Authority website.

One does not just publish on Linked-In to communicate to everyone, one published to add value and demonstrate continual professional development.
