The Ukraine war has taught everyone allot about cybersecurity and cyber warfare. It has highlighted the relationship between nation state cyber threats, the effects of offense cyber and the need for a public and private sector cyber strategy. A strategy to address the relationship between nation state offensive and defensive cyber and the public and private sector.

‘Defend the Nation is the first line in which the key is to “defend forward,” disrupting and degrading malicious cyber actors’ capabilities and supporting ecosystems.’

To ‘Defend Forward’ we require coherent enterprise level strategy for the convergence between nation state offensive cyber and public and private sector cybersecurity strategy. Without which the cyber Maginot Line is always breached. Kinetic weapons do not get into the hands of the general public en-masse, cyber weapons do.
