Positive to see the UK government updating its advice on the implementation of EU NIS for the health sector.
As EU member states are transposing EU NIS 2, DORA and the SEC has finalized its cyber final ruling, one hopes the UK will keep pace with the significant amount of change partner nations are creating across cyber regulation. Regulation that effects trading relations between partners.
NIS 2 is a major update of NIS 1. NIS 2 has a significant effect on the European Health sector, including healthcare provision, pharmaceuticals and medical device manufacture. With a broader scope and much deeper compliance requirements for covered entities to demonstrate their application of cyber risk management, governance, cybersecurity, oversight and assurance along with civil and criminal liabilities.
The UK will develop its cyber strategy in line with that set by its partners, as they seek to align theirs.
