EC Charger cybersecurity is a real concern, EV chargers are CNI, recognised under EU cyber regulation. As we rush for the gold, we appear to be forgetting to address cybersecurity. With the U.S NIST developing a CSF profile for EV charging (https://lnkd.in/eii8fSbf), is it now time to regulate EV chargers and the associated infrastructure? To ensure that cyber is built into the products from the ground up.

€œOur critical infrastructure needs to meet a baseline level of security and resilience,€ says Harry Krejsa, chief strategist at the White House Office of the National Cyber Director. He also argued that bolstering EV cybersecurity is as much about building trust as it is mitigating risk. Secure systems, he says, €œgive us the confidence in our next-generation digital foundations to aim higher than we possibly could have otherwise.€
