For my U.S colleagues. Are we seeing the seeds of change in the U.S for CMMC compliance? The Colorado state auditor wants an evaluation of CMMC compliance by select agencies that receive funding from the DoD?

If this is the case, will we see other states follow suite. As concern mounts from State agencies that receive funding from the DoD, could be impacted by a failure of compliance to the CMMC standard. The funding by the DoD of defense contractors and state agencies is a contributor to local economies, and failure to comply with CMMC, when it becomes encoded into DFARS is a consideration for state income.
