A further example of where the EU is moving ahead with a coordinated approach for cybersecurity. Enhancing an already well developed suite of cyber regulation through the EU NIS 2, DORA and the CRA. Creating a capability to detect, prepare and respond to significant large scale cyber incidents, establishing the infrastructure for a European Cyber Shield composed of national and cross boarder SOCs, incident response services, financial assistance, incident review for lessons learnt.
In addition to the creation of an EU Cybersecurity Skills Academy to develop the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. The EU has also proposed the adoption of a European certification scheme for managed security services, that includes incident response, penetration testing, security audits and consultancy.
