The U.S DoD has regulated cybersecurity through DFARS since 2017, updated in 2020, and soon to be modified further with CMMC. Regulation that affects National Security and the warfighter. Regulation that affects global defense contractors. Regulation that may also fall under the False Claims Act (FCA), a law that the Department of Justice (DoJ) is keen to oversee.
