The UK is undergoing a slow transformation in cyber. A transformation that will gather pace as EU and U.S cyber regulators drives cyber compliance ‘Left of Bang’ into the board room of public and private organisations.
EU NIS 2 and DORA are now on the EU Journal, The White House ONCD is expected to release a National cyber strategy, the SEC is looking to release its cybersecurity risk management regulation before May 2023 and DOD DFARS compliance is already a requirement. These regulations impact covered UK firms trading in or with the U.S and EU. They enforce legal and compliance expectations on boards members and their organisations that will be difficult to ignore.
