If this is correct. Apart from the security issues this creates, as a shareholder, should I be concerned that the source code has been stollen? I invest in a company for many reasons, its management, brand and reputation, products and the long term viability to increase multiples and share price.

If the source code has been stolen, that is core to a digital platform and the intellectual property of the firm, how is future value created? If I want to acquire a firm I buy its IP, in this case IP that may have been compromised. How do you calculate a fair market value for the acquisition?
