A great article that addresses some of the challenges that supply chain planners must content with. Supply Chain Risk Management, and moreover Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management are front and center in cyber regulation in 2022, regulation that will continue into 2023. Logistics and procurement planners must content with Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management as they work through their plans and scenario analysis.

Outside of the traditional area of product planning comes proposals to regulate the cybersecurity of ICT systems in Europe, requiring the management of cybersecurity risks across ICT product and service supply chains. A second area is dependency management, 2022 taught us that supply chains are vulnerable to cyber attacks and JIT manufacturing being susceptible to disruption.
