Lapsus$ the teen hackers that shone a spot light on some major brands in 2022 will be the focus of a Department of Homeland Security review. The lapsus group demonstrated that international script kiddies, a euphemism that belayed the severity of the attacks were able to focus the attention of the world on cyber, targeting Microsoft Corp., Nvidia Corp., Okta Inc, Samsung and T-Mobile exploiting log4j. In the case of Okta exposing an incident response program that may play out over the next few years through court.

The Lapsus group were (are) a classic example of a Zero day, they deployed a different style of cyber attack and likely only caught due to a lack of professionalism that came with their age.
