A nice video about the importance NATO places over cyber. One only hopes that NATO is working closely with its partners to address the gaps between Offensive and Defensive cyber and the public and private sector.

Having a robust offensive cyber strategy is important. But ensuring that NATO allies can manage cyber across their defense industry, that is predominantly private sector partner nation CNI providers that are also private sectors firms has proven impossible to date. As demonstrated number of successful cyber attacks, the theft of critical defence IP, the recent success of cyberattacks on NATO allies and defence contractors, and the recent rise nation state cyber regulations (EU and U.S) to try and address the issue.

Cyber falls over at the point of the weakest link when defense IP that is not always ‘secrete’ is shared. One hopes there is better harmonisation of nation state cyber standards, compliance and the public and private sector ahead.
