The New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) has updated it’s cybersecurity regulation. Enhancing a risk based approach to cybersecurity oversight and assurance. That includes updates on board governance, risk assessments, education and training that are similar to the SEC proposal and EU cyber regulations.

This is a further example that cyber regulation is focused on risk management.
