Call us now:
Is cyber solely about a poorly trained workforce, or are we starting to reap the rewards of a lack of resources and leadership in general and a reluctance to address cybersecurity by organisations. Leading us to regulate cyber ‘left of bang’ and create a sense of urgency, as attacks seem to be increasing in frequency, complexity and severity. Education and training are important, but you wouldn’t allow your GP to do a tipple heart bypass.
Cybersecurity requires good leadership to enable the newly created skills to work.
These are problems that in some part is creating the issues we see in the cyber insurance market place today. Do we need to rethink our approach, if so we don’t have much time to do it?
While I support ‘left of bang’ thinking to make change, as a last resort. Making the level of change required takes a long time and cyber regulation looks to set precedence today, placing criminal (Uber) and civil sanctions (Drizly) on CISOs and boards sooner rather than later.
