In May this year the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) handed down a judgement on RI Advice Group Pty. The outcome of the proceedings of the tested cybersecurity risk management compliance of Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) holders, and likely precedence for cybersecurity risk management oversight going forward.

As the article points out the ASIC rule for cybersecurity risk management will change the emphasis for cybersecurity oversight, assurance and compliance for AFS licensees.
