A nice update from the World Economic Forum (WEF), following up on their approach to cyber risk resilience. Aligning with the regulatory approach proposed by U.S. and EU regulators for Cybersecurity Risk management. Regulations that set the requirements for Board governance, cybersecurity risk management, incident disclosure and the legal basis for future claims against companies that fail to comply.
The direction being set is one of cybersecurity risk management to manage cybersecurity. With greater accountability for cyber in the board room, and precedence setting through regulator and class actions against organisations that fail to address cyber.
As we discussed in our ‘left of bang’ paper (https://lnkd.in/ecukvdWd) adopting cybersecurity risk management drives situational awareness. Critical for boards to manage cybersecurity and address regulatory compliance, alongside governance, strategy and incident response.
We have a complete strategy and program addressing U.S and EU cyber security risk management regulatory requirements, from the board room to shop floor. Addressing the Target Operating Model, board governance, organizational design, oversight, assurance, risk management and cybersecurity. Following appropriate standards.
