Was the physical logical divide crossed by hackers who claim to have attacked an Iranian Steel producer last month? The video is impressive and if true goes someway to demonstrate the impact of cross the IT to OT divide.
Predatory Sparrow are the same group that claimed responsibility for taking Iran’s national fuel station payment system offline. The group also said it had been behind a hack that hijacked digital billboards on roads, making them display a message saying, Khamenei, where is our fuel? – a reference to the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Manufacturers should be concerned.
The hackers published data stolen from the Iranian foundry.
