For those National and International DIB contractors this report is an interesting read. The DoD is undergoing its own assessment of cybersecurity compliance, for the oversight and assurance of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Making progress in complying with FISMA (DoDi 8510.01), DFARS and testing CMMC compliance. With someway to go to fully comply.

Federal agencies are required to implement FISMA and the Risk Management Framework (RMF). The Securities and Exchange Commission FISMA evaluation by the Office of the Inspector General Office of Audits (2021) makes an interesting read, following the SEC recent announcement of a cybersecurity risk management proposal for market registrants. Implementing FISMA in line with the DoD and its branches compliance of FISMA and the RMF.

In the Augusta Groups September 2021 white paper ‘FISMA, OMB and the Risk Management Framework – The regulatory cyber-risk elephant in the room impacting the management of cybersecurity’ (https://lnkd.in/dVdM3ZRq) we discuss FISMA and OMB A130 and their impact on Federal cybersecurity regulation, the DoD and its suppliers. That the SEC proposal will further impact.
