The average cost of ransomware attacks on organisations has increased significantly over the past 2 years. Tracking alongside the increase in frequency of attacks and as the article points in part due to the growth in the success of the ransomware-as-a-service model.

Is there a realisation that throwing money at the cyber problem is not an effective solution. Requiring a broader people, process and technology strategy to address cybersecurity risk management. Will proposed by regulations drive the changes needed to address cybersecurity?
