There is a call for stronger cybersecurity regulations to address compliance, governance, oversight and assurance for the oil and gas industry? At a time when the US president reminded CNI providers to implement cybersecurity ahead of potential cyber attacks from Russia.

U.S. regulators, and lawmakers, have pushed the oil and gas industry to adopt stricter cybersecurity standards administered by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.), chair of the House energy subcommittee, introduced a bill in December that would direct FERC to create much-needed” mandatory cybersecurity standards for the oil and gas industry.
