Call us now:
Has 2020 and the COVID 19 pandemic taught us anything about the global nature of system risks, our dependency on technology and for cyber to evolve and keep pace with changing events? The answer must be yes. COVID forced changes in technology strategy, which cyber attackers adapted to quickly.
The corporate network extended on-mass, as we work from home and became more reliant on cloud to consolidate our data. Changes in personal and working circumstances for many has been an opportunity for cyber criminals, who have adapted quickly to the opportunity.
Has COVID 19 focused the insurance, and reinsurance industry, on silent cyber? The impact of other factors outside the control of cyber policies, on cyber policies? COVID 19 is a global health issue, but the remedy created the cyber opportunity through self-isolation, working from home, increasing our dependence on personal and corporate technology. An issue which no one could have predicated at the end of 2019, least of all the insurance industry.
It is why cyber is one of the biggest non-financial risk we face. A risk which requires us all to focus on the protection of our technology assets and data.
