The regulatory worm is starting to turn for cyber security. Yes we have had GDPR for over 2 years and have CCPA, HIPPA and CMMC. But the fundamentals for cyber security do not change. By its very nature cyber is an enterprise wide risk, cyber attacks and cyber security follow the data. Where the data goes, there is a need to manager cyber risks.
The foundation for good cyber security is to have a strategy and a plan. By having a strategy and a plan there is an acceptance that you understand that cyber security is something you have to manage. Cyber security and organisations are complex; and you need a lens through which you can provide structure and simplify the deployment of cyber security practices. Which cybersecurity frameworks provide.
