Free introductory video we have created to help communicate the US DoDs CMMC programme.
The CMMC (Cyber Maturity Model Certification) programme is progressing despite COVID 19. If the programme proceeds as planned it will strengthen existing requirements to protect Federal Contract Information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), by the end of 2020 or early 2021. It will formally mandate assessment and accreditation of the maturity of cyber security of DoD suppliers, across the Defence Industry Base (DIB). Maturity defined by the data managed by the company. It will impact companies from small research and development businesses and Universities to 100,000 FTE global industry leaders. Failure to pass an independent assessment could result in restrictions being applied to supply the DoD, an organisation with a $1.8Tr (GAO 2020) budget.
