Equifax has reached a $380Mn settlement to address a class action following its 2017 data breach. Class members will be able to claim up to $20,000 for out of pocket expenses and Equifax must add an additional $125Mn if needed.
I wonder what that puts the total bill at. $700Mn (approx) was paid to US regulators, they received a downgrade from Moody’s and have agreed to pay a significant bill of $1Bn to sort out their security.
