A great read. Thank you Agence Nationale de la Sécurité des Systèmes d’Information (ANSSI).

The ANSSI has issued a warning for cyber espionage, following on from the attempted compromise of Airbus, reported this month. (https://lnkd.in/e3whCXK).

They raise concerns that the North Korean group Kimsuky are targeting third party suppliers. Third party suppliers are an easier route into high value targets like Airbus. Third parties are often less well protected, but have direct access to sensitive information and IP. Weaker third party suppliers are also more valuable targets. If you ransomware a third party supplier who is critical to the supply chain, you are in a good bargaining position.

This is a reason the US DoD formalized the adoption of NIST into their suppliers.
