Operational risk and cyber under one roof at the Federal Bank of India. It is a very interesting mix, fraught with challenges, as those who manage the security risk, oversight it. Does it offer more benefits than placing the CISO in the 1st LoD under the CIO, which is more traditional?
In my experience yes, certainly in the short term when many companies need to increase their maturity of cyber risk management. Putting the CISO with the risk and control assessment and oversight teams has benefits.
Cyber risk management is a major issue for all companies.
