Claud for Legal is developing rapidly, with over 90 agents created so far to aid the legal profession. One asks the question, is the legal profession ready for Claud Legal?

The use of AI by lawyers opens up a whole new can of whoop ass for lawyers. Several judges have commented on the use of AI in legal cases, namely around the accurate use of AI and the accountability of Lawyers for the use of AI in their cases. Sanctioning lawyers who filed briefs with fictitious, error-prone submissions.

Legal professional bodies have emphasised that AI is a tool and does not substitute professional judgement. Using AI does not delegate a lawyer’s duties to the AI. The lawyer remains responsible for the work product submitted to the court. When one reads the Agents created, one hopes that they have the necessary guardrails built into their ontologies to ensure that they rely more on traditional RAG, or AI simply becomes buyer beware, as it creates more confusion and takes up more billable time than it saves or quality improvements.

One expects that the issues raised by the legal profession and its use of AI will readily extend to other professions such as audit, assurance, and regulatory compliance.
