Clawdbot, now Moltbot, is not only a global security crisis; it appears that it can be weaponised. But it creates a major headache for other content creators, data aggregators, and AI agents. As they can be plugged into Moltbot along with a large range of other messaging and communications services. The whole premise of AI is access to and consumption of data.
Moltbot has done something no other data aggregator has done: it’s provided a platform to consume the most individuals’ most sensitive personal, private data and corporate data, all in one package accessible by a single open-source AI agent.

By all accounts, it’s been running with persistence for a few weeks, consuming whatever data unsuspecting users have decided to give it access to. The Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and society’s lack of a security culture, having no idea where the code originates and where their data is going, demonstrates the challenges society faces with both AI and cyber governance

AI governance has gone out the window; organisations that have allowed the installation of Moltbot have seen their most sensitive data leave the building. Your corporate insurance is quickly following it.
