Who cares about kinetic warfare when the hybrid war is what will destroy us? What is the UK’s defensive cyber strategy? How is the UK going to enable the UK industry to protect itself from cyber attacks?

We’ve recently seen the impact of cyber on the UK economy; one attack against one manufacturer of CARS led to a drop in UK GDP. The US is reported to have used cyber tools to disrupt CNI in Venezuela during its recent mission to capture its president.

Cyber poses a risk bigger than bombs and bullets to the UK economy. Once the cyber Maginot Line is breached its a free-for-all against UK CNI, and if you can ransom an organisation, you can wipe its infrastructure.

Much like drone technology has decimated the tactical advantage of tanks, cyber can decimate public and private sector digital assets.

Cybersecurity is National security.
