The Defense industry is in the crosshairs of the US President.

The Defense industry is in the crosshairs of the US President. Who claims the industry is not moving quickly enough to deliver weapon systems? At the same time issuing dividends, share buy-backs, and excessive executive pay. At the detriment of investing in Plants and Equipment.

The President issued an executive order saying that defense contractors were not permitted to pay dividends or buy back stock until product quality and delivery improved. Contracts will stipulate that the exec comp will not be tied to short-term financial incentives. The order directed the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to consider issuing regulations to implement the proposed ban.

What does this mean for CMMC, a regulated requirement for the global DIB?

The announcement caused a slide in defense contractors’ share prices.
