The effects of the JLR hack are being felt by those in its supply chain. It appears JLR had no insurance, and its cybersecurity did not contain the incident. The effect of which has affected its employees, those of its suppliers and the wider brand. As the UK government has found it difficult to come up with a solution to the situation JLR faces, on one hand, JLR is a private sector organisation; on the other, JLR and its suppliers provide jobs and technology skills for UK industry.

Cyber Regulation is not a silver bullet by any means, but UK partners recognise it’s a lever to secure their industry and Critical National Infrastructure.
