For those looking for a greater understanding of the impact of AI on countries, as they look to strengthen their AI strategies and manage the economic effects of AI. Watch this podcast from the London Business School’s Dean, Sergei Guriev, Michael G. Jacobides and Nnenna I. How will countries win the AI race, manage its fair use and gain advantage?

AI will have a profound effect on public and private sectors, but AI comes with risk. At a time when AI technology is moving far quicker than nations political machines can cope. How should national governments react?

AI creates many risks and opportunities. How do we balance these without reducing the impact of AI. Governments have few levers available to manage political and geopolitical risk, such as those created by AI. Regulation is one of those leavers, as asking nicely invariably does not work. However when there’s economic opportunity and economic risk at stake how do you balance risk and reward. Is it to late to regulate AI, as the AI genie is out of the digital bottle, it isn’t going back in and the tech is racing ahead of its political masters.

How will we manage AI when it is dependent upon governance of cybersecurity, governance of data, governance of cloud and governance of AI? All capabilities that are being increasingly regulated?
