This is simply an outstanding light hearted, yet serious, and sobering watch.
How to hack power generation facilities (CONTRACTED). A very topical conversation given the recent power outages in Spain and Portugal, and the recent announcement that remotely controlled inverters have been found in US solar panel infrastructure.

Karan Sajnani and Jaden Furtado admirably demonstrate how they (with their clients permission) went about evaluating vulnerabilities of power infrastructure, on their road trip around India. 1 car, 4 hackers, 7 states and a 5,000 km drive (contracted by their client). With some sites having over 10,000 assets.
The team demonstrated the basics power infrastructure, the vulnerabilities of infrastructure and the knock on effects of hacking power generation. The program identifies how easy it was to compromise networks. How once compromised it was possible to impact power distribution networks.
Before anyone jumps on this post, bear in mind, these guys were contracted to do the work. They do not go into detail. Lets face it there’s no reason to believe that what they found is no less prevalent across many nations power infrastructure.
If you can hack Marks and Spencer, what make you think that you can’t compromise power generator. Given the maturity of OT and SCADA system security.
One can see these guys being asked to cover a few more miles yet.
