Whilst the defense sector is a target for hackers, the CMMC program demonstrates the challenges with cybersecurity compliance or lack there of.The EU NIS 2 requires manufacturing companies across the 27 EU member states to focus on cybersecurity risk management. An indication on how seriously the EU is taking manufacturing cybersecurity. Interesting to read that cyber attack claims are lower than average claim frequency, but higher than average severity.
