The case between Delta and Crowdstike looks set to continue. As Crowdstrike rejects that it was at fault for the cancellation of 6,000 flights by Delta. That any liability by CrowdStrike is contractually capped at an amount in the single-digit millions.
public posturing about potentially bringing a meritless lawsuit against CrowdStrike as a long-time partner is not constructive to any party. We hope that Delta will agree to work cooperatively to find a resolution.
One wonders how organisation affected by such system outages transfer risk of failure between third party suppliers. Who is responsible in such cases?
One suspects this case may create precedence, for clients and third party suppliers.
