One has to say that the message isn’t wrong and has been proven by the U.S. The U.S has shown through several GAO audits that the Defense Industry Base, both domestic and international, have in general not complied with DFARS requirements for cybersecurity. A result of which has been the loss of U.S Defense IP to adversaries (and those of its partner nations).

Enough to know that digital integration and cybersecurity only works when there is a sharing of knowledge, skills and experience as the threat is shared depending upon who has the capabilities to defend themselves and who has the most advanced defensive platforms. One wonders how well sovereignty works if you need to integrate your platforms into a collective defense platform and at what point sovereignty starts and stops.

The other interesting point of note, is the article in the telegraph was written by CEOs of subsidiaries of French, Italian companies and UK companies.
