If companies such as Microsoft are struggling to defend themselves against nation state threat actors and protect their IP. How is any company going to adequately protect its IP?

What will this mean are cyber regulation develops and companies are expected to demonstrate they understand and manage their material risks? With the U.S and EU moving quickly to implement cyber laws, that have the potential to deliver penalties to board rooms. How do we close the cyber gap?
