Transposing NIS 2 is a complex process. Complex enough for the Dutch government to raise concerns that it will miss the October 2024 deadline to transpose NIS 2 into law.

The scope of NIS 2 is both broader and deeper than the original NIS rule. It effects many more industry sectors and companies. It requires companies demonstrate appropriate governance, oversight, assurance and attestation of cybersecurity risk management. That alongside changes in scope, are significant additions to the original NIS directive.

As we wrote last year. NIS 2 is a complex program of cybersecurity risk management (https://lnkd.in/eSRjtc7E).

One waits to see if other EU countries follow suit and raise concerns over their ability to meet the October 2024 deadline of transposing the directive into their local laws?
