The SEC whistleblower program has been quite successful in 2023. 68 individual whistleblowers received more than $600 million, following 18,000 whistleblower tips, 50% greater in 2023 than 2022. The challenge the program faces as Jason Zuckerman says in his article is that the program is under resourced.

With the SECs regulatory drive continuing into 2024, one can expect more actions to be bought under the Whistleblower program. One also has to remember that the program has international reach, effecting covered entities no matter where they are domiciled.
