Firstly an apology, with so many cyber regulations moving ahead across the EU, U.S and Australia, one missed UNECE 155 and 156. (https://lnkd.in/e2rZ7SbZ, https://lnkd.in/eT_N3U5M) that effect auto manufacturers and OEM cyber security for new vehicle’s registered after July 2024.

That as one sees is already having an effect on auto manufacturers product strategy. As Porsche, VW and Audit move to clear up their product strategy in light of the new cyber regulations. Regulations that require vehicle manufactures to have a certificate of risk based CSMS compliance (R155e) and a certificate of compliance for their Software Update Management System (R156e). Capabilities that in the case of Porsche are being used to justify bringing the production of the ICE powered Macan to an end.
