Cyber is a significant risk to the maritime industry, that is in part driving a stronger relationship between the U.S Congress and Coast Guard. Cyber has the potential to significantly affect the mission of the U.S Coast Guard, requiring an improved focus on people, process and the systems necessary to counter the threat. Requiring the necessary statutory authority to build cybersecurity into it’s strategic plans for the next decade.

This issue is not just one for the U.S coast guard. It is one for all CNI sectors, whether they are in the U.S, EU or APAC.
