The cybersecurity firm IronNet is winding up its operations. The steady decline in the company has take 12-18 months from a heady valuation of $1.2 Billion in 2021, to the point of a possible Chapter 7 filling as the company cannot satisfy it debts.
The cybersecurity sector seems to be going through a lot of turmoil, and one expects the bubble to burst. As cyber regulation requires boards to demonstrate cyber compliance and oversight and assurance of the supply chains, that includes tech vendors. Cash flow is drying up and the VC/ PE funds are being more sanguine. Cyber vendors will have to demonstrate their value to clients, that are no longer just the CISO.
