Thank you for posting Ted Dziekanowski. If the strategy includes CSF then this is a big statement from the DoD, and will have a big impact on its global defense supply chain. We wrote the Augusta plan 1 in 2021, 2 and 3 in 2022. Presenting the Augusta plan 1 to the DoD and Cyberspace Solarium Commission, as a reasonable solution to the security of DoD and DIB data.

Federal government is bound by FISMA and the RMF under OMB A-130 and the DoD has its own FISMA program under DoDi 8510.01(2022). FISMA and the RMF allow the adoption of CSF profiles aligned to business and mission objectives. CSF profiles are the sensible way forward for DoD wide cyber as they align with CISAs own approach for cybersecurity.
